What customers said after
crossing the finish line.
I ate Phoenix Bars every day for lunch, and they were excellent. The taste was great, quite plain in a good way, which meant I did not experience any flavour or palate fatigue, especially compared to other products I was eating at the time. They worked really well for me, and Phoenix Bars will definitely be a staple in my ultra endurance activities moving forward.
Phoenix Bars helped me finish the Marathon Des Sables and claim the record as one of the oldest ever finishers of the race.
After reading positive reviews during my prep for MDS Legendary, I reached out to James. I ended up eating them for every breakfast, lunch and even as additional snack on the 100k long stage after 80k to manage the last 20k. Easy to digest on the go, by taking a bite plus sip of water having security of getting more than 525kcal into your tired body. Saved my race and managed to finish 135 (#9 in my age group).
Phoenix Bars worked very well for me on the Marathon des Sables this year and I was very pleased I took them.
I used Phoenix Bars on the 2025 Marathon des Sables and these flapjacks were a godsend. High calories to grams, tasty and easy to consume. I used them for my breakfast every day. I will recommend them to anyone doing the MDS in the future.
I used Phoenix Bars during the 6 stages of the Legendary MdS in April 2026. I found them easy to digest in small bites whilst on the move in the heat. Loved the chocolate flavour. I needed to keep them in a separate plastic bag due to their crumbly nature. I didn't want to lose any precious kcals to the desert.
I used Phoenix Bars during the Marathon Des Sables as my breakfast every day. Their calorie to weight ratio is superb. Highlight was turning a bar into porridge on the rest day. Would not hesitate to recommend Phoenix Bars.
I have been an advocate of Phoenix Bars since their inception. This year I was fortunate enough to go to Morocco to take part and complete The Marathon Des Sables. [...] On the long day I ate 3 bars throughout the day mixed with 30g jellies, this made a fully fuel efficient day. Easy to carry, kept their shape even in desert temperatures. Break a little off, put in the mouth and gently chew, have a swallow of water and it's a massive dose of calories to sustain through the day. Easy to digest, easy to swallow, highly recommended.
